What: Wanderer (cindypepper! edition II)

Why: When creating this layout, I had wanted to design something that was representative of my style: whimsical, illustrative, and slightly dark. The entire layout — including the hand-drawn text — was drawn in Photoshop. I wanted to incorporate the image of a girl wandering through a forest, so I designed the sidebar and the background to look like trees, with the footer being the “ground.” The footer, the amount of detail, and the color palette make it one of my favorite layouts. The design was showcased on CSS Bake, Dr. Web, and We Love WP.
