Why: Back in my junior year of high school, I set a crazy New Year’s resolution for myself: every day, I would create one new journal entry. Armed with a new Moleskine sketchbook and a couple spare art supplies, I got to work. Every week, I would post up the results on my LiveJournal community, which soon got featured on the LiveJournal Spotlight (and the front page!) in June 2006! Since its creation, the community has a following of over 2000 members. In 2009, LJ selected kitsche to be published in the LiveJournal Tenth Anniversary Anthology, which highlights 100 selected journals throughout the decade. Even though the project proved to be a huge undertaking, it definitely inspired me to keep drawing and experiment with different styles.
