Even New York isn't this bad. I remember the weather forecast was "smoky" as opposed to say, sunny or partly cloudy. I have no idea as to why blogs are banned. When I went to Shanghai in 2006, I couldn't access blogpost, but I could access LJ. No idea, honestly.
