Comments: The less seasonal version of Under the Mistletoe. I made it completely greyscale with hints of red.
Title: Under the Mistletoe
Date Completed: May 2007
Medium: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Credits: H&M
Comments: This vexel was completed for the Vexels.net Advent Calendar 2005 project; this vector was for December 8th. This was based on an H&M advertisement featuring Jessica Stam. It was comprised of 264 layers. I added the holly illustration as a seasonal touch. I ended up using this for a good majority of my Christmas cards.
Title: Colour Void
Date Completed: November 2005
Medium: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Credits: David Ferrua
Comments: I wanted to try a greyscale vexel, so I started with a David Ferrua portrait of Jessica Stam. I remember that this took over 100 layers!
Title: UR A STAR
Date Completed: October 2005
Medium: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Credits: Bradford Noble
Comments: This was actually my first vexel after a 10-month hiatus. I decided to get back in the vexelling groove, and the Bradford Noble photo looked like a good starting point.
Title: Ron Weasley
Date Completed: December 2004
Medium: Adobe Photoshop Elements 2
Credits: n/a
Comments: I created this for a Secret Santa at a message board I used to frequent back in the day. It features a very bored Ron Weasley, a character in Harry Potter.
Title: Alone
Date Completed: November 2004
Medium: Paint Shop Pro 7
Credits: Eden-stock
Comments: I wanted to have a purely black-and-white layout for my LiveJournal, so I created this vexel to accompany that colour scheme. I like the harshness of not only the lines, but also the colour contrast.
Title: Introspection
Date Completed: September 2004
Medium: Paint Shop Pro 7
Credits: Eden-stock
Comments: This vexel is actually quite old, but I'm still rather attached! I wanted to combine the pop-art vexel style with photography.
Title: Falling in Colour
Date Completed: August 2004
Medium: Paint Shop Pro 7
Credits: Lancome
Comemnts: I created this for a friend of mine, and I love the thick black lines with the bright colours. This was based off a Lancome advertisement. I did quite a few vexels in this style, which was loosely based off that of Roy Lichtenstein. The background consisted of a multicolor gradient.
