About
…the girl

On the twenty-first day of the year 1989, a rather peculiar girl named Cindy was born an Aquarian in the year of the Dragon.
This girl named Cindy also happens to be a Type 4 and an INFP. She can be found in New York for most of the year, where she embarks on frequent adventures in solitude. She studies Industrial Engineering with minors in Economics and East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University. Other long-term whereabouts include Shanghai, Indianapolis, and Hogsmeade. She hopes to expand this list.
She likes Harry Potter, things that are green, numbers, Miyazaki films, fashion, firm handshakes, weird ice cream flavors, receiving mail, Art Nouveau, museums, Carmen Sandiego, trivia, Moleskines, and cookies. She might like you too.
…the art
Cindy’s tools of the trade include Adobe Creative Suite CS3, Corel Painter IX, a Wacom Graphire tablet, and any traditional medium she can find. She draws inspiration from her actual and imagined surroundings, so anything goes. She displays some of her work here.
Cindy started drawing way before she could properly register dates like these — which is to say, a Very Long Time Ago. As for webdesign, she learned HTML at twelve and by fourteen, she had begun her first personal website and foray into digital art. She also likes photography, though less than 10% of the photos that she takes end up seeing the light of day.
…the site
When the burdens of high school impeded progress on her previous two domains, she resorted to LiveJournal, where she continued to blog and post both art on the sly. The frustration at her dormant websites coupled with the exposure of her art project kitsche inspired her to start anew, hence cindypepper.com was started as an attempt to stake some claim in this world, starting with the Internet.
